Arklow Climbs 16 places in Top 100

The results of the annual " Golf Digest Top 100" show that Arklow Golf Club has risen 16 places from last year to place number 83 now. This is surely in recognition to the development work carried out over the last few years on the Course. The Course is now longer  ( in excess of 6500 yds.) and also is more difficult ( over May the CSS ( Couse Standard Scratch) has risen from a nominal 69 to about 72.6 ).

Portmarnock Golf Links came top of the class in this year's survey and the European Club was number three ( a rise of 2 places).
