Description: This is a stiff test as the green is unsighted from the tee due to a large dune. It is best to drive to the left of the fairway which avoids heavy rough on right and opens up a good view of the green. Difficult undulations on the green make this a tough par 4 and well worthy of its Index 6. The name derives from the distant past when it was an animal graveyard. Designer and five times (5) Open Champion J H Taylor considered this hole to be the best test of golf on the course.
