Arklow were pitted against last year's winners Kilcoole last Saturday February 2 2008 and the final overall result was a three three draw.

Arklow won 2.5 points at home and 0.5 points away but things were very close in Kilcoole and the result could have been very different.

The Joint Managers were very pleased with the the performance of the away selection.

There will be stiff competition for places when the final round comes to played on Saturday February 16 against Glenmalure.
